Media Operations Specialist

In this role, the Media Operations Specialist supports the Activation Team via the on-time delivery and management of financials for all accounts. The Media Operations Specialist has a deep understanding of media and the inner workings of a media agency. 


  • Help manage the billing process for all media and ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition in a variety of billing systems.
  • Responsible for data entry of all invoices in the system and seeks out missing ones, trouble shoots when they don’t match and aren’t accounted for.
  • Produces media authorizations based on clients project numbers, media plan and understand commission structure and fees.
  • Sets up budget trackers for all campaigns and manages the budget throughout planning, billing, reconciliation. 
    • Collaborates with media team when when dollars are pacing ahead or behind of schedule and/or invoices aren’t received
  • Works with Finance on billing clients as well as media reconciliations to ensure all dollars are billed and vendors are paid in a timely manner and all clients money is properly applied. 
  • Supports administrative tasks within the agency as needed (across Media, Finance and HR).


  • Strong, proven competency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

  • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments in high pressure environments

  • Ability to communicate effectively with many different personality types
  • Strong collaborator with ability to act as mediator between Curiosity, clients, publishers, and vendors


  • Experience working in financial management systems to set and maintain accurate spending and invoicing.
  • Media agency experience or experience in ad ops and familiarity with: Strata, Workamajig, Google Campaign Manager, AdWords, and social platforms a plus.
